Dubai is famous for its tourism as it has many wonderful tourist locations. It is located in the south of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. In 2007, Dubai ranked number 8 in the list of countries places most visited by tourists. Due to its amazingly beautiful places, it is renowned worldwide. Apart from that, Dubai is also known for its famous “Dubai Shopping Festival” which lasts for a month. It is a place with longest and largest running shopping centres in the world, along with its spectacular entertainment activities.
1. Burj-al-Arab
Burj Al Arab means tower of Arabs, it is a luxurious hotel situated in Dubai. Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The design of the structure resembles sail of a ship.It is sometimes referred to as world’s 7 star hotel. Few years back it symbolized the identity symbol of Dubai.

These are the world’s largest man made islands , which could even be seen from the space through naked eye. It is a collection of artificial islands in the shape of a palm tree. Sheikh Zayed Mosque Abu Dhabi is one of the largest mosque in the U.A.E. It is huge, can accommodate 40,000 people during friday or Eid prayers. This grand mosque of U.A.E has the size equivalent to five football fields. Some of the parts of the mosque are open to the visitors. Tourist have to first go through the rules of the mosque before entering. For example, they should respect the the scared place and be dressed properly or else they will not be allowed entry.

The Dubai fountain constitutes the world’s largest fountain systems on an area of 30-acre in the artificial Burj Khalifah Lake. This lake is in the center of Dubai Down town. The illumination of the Fountains is achieved by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors. This fountain system is 275 m (902 ft) long and shoots water up to 500 ft (152.4 m) into the air. The visitors also enjoy the range of classical and modern Arabic and world music. Each fountain has an outline appear as though if on fire. This combination of fire, water and music makes the scene really spectacular.

This museum is the one of the oldest buildings in Dubai built in 1787. It is located in the marvellous fortress “Al-Fahidi fort”. In the museum, everybody can discover something of his own interest as it has a amazing collections of artifacts, not only from the history of UAE, but also collected from all over the world. They include weapons, musical instruments, maps.

This world’s largest shopping mall , includes 1200 shops. Located near Burj Khalifa, it is the part of 20-billion dollar Dubai down town complex. It is accessible by the Doha street. Just upon entering the mall, you would see the world’s largest Gold market with 220 retailers, fashion Catwalk atrium; the first middle eastern branch of Galeries Lafayette stores, Fashion Island and Oasis Fountain Waterfall. As of 2012, the Dubai Mall held the title of world’s most-visited shopping and leisure destination. This mall also has an Aquarium and amazing under water zoo that has 10 million litres of water. This zoo enables visitors to clearly view over 33,000 marine animals on display.
9. Fujairah Fort
It is a must visit for the enthusiats of ancient art and buildings. The sand of fort changes colour between deep orange and light brown, depending on the location of the sun and the time of the day. Fort has contains a modern museum, bullfighting is the traditional sport of Fujairah. It is different from the Spanish bullfighting where the bulls lock their horns and fight until one falls down or runs away. Only the participants are familiar of the rules of the game.
