The Son Doong cave in Vietnam, was discovered in 1991 by a local resident. Then in 2009, a British expedition decided to further explore this cave, but before long they realized that it was certainly the largest cave ever discovered. Since then, several expeditions have gone over there to study the formation of rocks, different underground rivers and other amazing natural phenomena till the time Vietnamese government allowed tourists into the cave.
