You will not believe your eyes but the photographs that you are seeing were made using scaled models of the cars from 40s. These superb works have been created by Michael, an American photographer, who has put these models in different situations to take these hyper-realistic pictures.
Michael Paul Smith is an American artist who loves reduced scale old model cars. During the last 25 years, he has created a series of photographs titled Elgin Park , in which he uses his model cars to recreate the photographs of America in 40s.
In order to achieve this work, he creates a scenario using different Vintage cars and adjusts the angle of the camera and many other details to capture a film snapshot that takes us back many decades in time. The result are extraordinary as the outdoor settings and the building models have been completely created by Michael himself. Seeing these photographs we think that these models are real.
The painstaking work of Michael is awesome. You cannot imagine the time he must have spent to perfect the viewing angles as well as the direction of the sunlight. Do you consider these pictures to be incredible?
