In one of our previous articles we had shown that how greedy the nature is to reclaim the places abandoned by the human beings. Now, we share with you the exciting adventure of Tang Yuhong whereby she shows us how an abandoned fishing village is being taken over by nature. This Chinese village is located in the Goqui Island which is part of Shengsi archipelago. In fact, Shengsi has 400 islands and is located near the Yangtze river. With the urbanization, most of the fishermen here have relocated to the mainland, leaving the abandoned houses to be taken over by the nature.
Out of all the Shengsi islands only 18 can be inhabited. The largest of these islands Sijiao, is only at a distance of 5 hour heavenly ride on a ferry from Shanghai and has become a popular tourist destination for bathing. Also, about 100,000 fishermen come to this place during the winters for catching fish. The proximity to the sea makes this place moderate and has a yearly average temperature of around 15.8 C. That is why we always see lush green plants in this area around the year.
