Without doubt Italy is known worldwide for its beauty. But some trans-alpine cities are simply more beautiful than others. This is the case of Polignano a Mare, a city in Southern Italy, with a truly magical hotel and restaurant there. We take you to this unusual place.
Polognano a Mare is located in the Southern Italy, in the region of Apulia, on the Adriatic coast. This medieval town with less than 2000 people is particularly charming due to its narrow streets and white houses. This impressive city is built on limestone cliffs overlooking the Adriatic sea. Carved into the cliffs, there is an incredible restaurant-hotel: the Grotta Palazzese, it covers 24 meters of the Adriatic coastline. This particularly magical and romantic place dates back to the 18th century, at a time when the local nobility constructed it. Now, tourists and locals come to enjoy its breathtaking views.
The Grotta Palazzese is truly sumptuous. On the one hand because it is built into the cliff, and secondly because it offers an exceptional view of the Adriatic sea. What do you think is the most unique thing in this hotel?
