It was in 1888 that the first camera Kodak Box was marketed to the general public. In 1889, Kodak no.1 succeeded Kodak Box, even though latter remained in the market until 1895. With Kodak no.1 , it was possible to take 100 photos, but users had send their cameras back to the Kodak company for the development and printing of the images.
At that time, camera was not a very expensive product. National Media Museum located in Bradford England managed to get these photographs considered to be the first photographs taken by amateurs.
