Einstein-Rosen Bridge or the wormhole is a short-cut between two different points in space that is still a Sci-fi, but what if we dream about engineering an airplane that could cover miles of distance in a jiffy. We could virtually form such Einstein-Rosen bridges. Beyond shadows of doubt, this would be a big step towards modern air transportation service. This dream syncs with what Richard H.Lug, CEO of Hypermach aerospace ltd, unveiled at the 2011 Paris air show. He expressed his plans of developing the fastest airplane that is supposed to fly at speed twice as fast as the speed of Concorde. For brevity, think for a moment, you fly from New York to London in just TWO hours. At the speed of 4410.12 km/h and flying at 60,000 feet above the ground will make you one of 21 passengers sitting in the world’s fastest aircraft “The SonicStar”. This futuristic forthcoming speedy jet is likely to come in sight by June 2021.
In an interview in Paris, Mr Lug said that funding has already been secured from the Department of Trade and Industry and it is expected that the Jet would be flying in sky within seven years. He even expressed that the company has access to Revolutionary Engine Technology and highly engineered aircraft design to make this dream come true.
From the construction point of view, the Jet engine would be truly hybrid carrying both fuel tanks and battery charging units which will make it 30 times more fuel efficient than Concorde. A special Electromagnetic Generation Technology would be employed to segment engine’s rotating stages electrically. This hybrid technology will offer agile, supersonic bypass fan ratio engine design.
Technically, with such an enormous speed one could complain about sonic booms that create shock waves and generates sound like explosion. The illustrated problem has been planned to be addressed through articulating electromagnetic current across the improve aerodynamic shape of fuselage. Would you like to be the the first passenger in such aircraft?
