With this series of photographs “Relics of Technology,” Jim captures a collection of technological objects that have now become obsolete. These photographs may make some of us nostalgic while through them others may discover the stages in the evolution of our technology today.
Photographer Jim Golden is based in Portland and specialises in advertising photography. He depicts the important objects from the history of development of electronic devices in this series “Relics of Technology” . A trip back in time in which typewriters, floppy disks, old models of phones or VHS cassettes come back to life and we love to rediscover them!
Very nice initiative from Jim ! We like the way it highlights the now obsolete technologies from our daily lives. This reminds some of us about nostalgic memories of the time when we used VHS tapes to watch our favorite cartoons. How do you feel imagining that today’s technology will be obsolete in 10 years?
